Californian post-hardcore band, Saosin, have pulled out of their forthcoming supporting role on Aiden‘s UK tour. It seems the band weren’t happy with the response to their newest material in the country and have stated that, “its not the right time for us to be over there.”

In a further statement issued by bassist Chris Sorenson, the band have said:

“I wish I had some elaborate story about members losing limbs while shark diving, but the truth of the matter is, we didn’t get a record released in the UK and [the response in] Europe was a lacklustre one at best. The bottom line is, it costs a lot to tour, especially overseas, and its never been more important now to make sure that we are touring intelligently and not just because.

We hope no one is super mad at us [and we] promise that once we get a home figured out for the record, we will be back.”

Aiden have said of the cancellation that they are still planning to tour in the country and in Europe.

The dates for the tour are as follows:

April

18th Wedgewood Rooms – Portsmouth

19th Electric Ballroom – London

20th Academy – Manchester

22nd Garage – Glasgow

23rd Cockpit – Leeds
